France Mpundu, a talented Rwandan artist who rose to fame after winning the "I’m The Future" competition, has announced her partnership with Huha Records to enhance her growing music career. She explained that the collaboration has significantly expanded her existing creative team.
She shares, “I already had a team I worked with, and then Huha Records came in to join us. This means the team has grown.”
Since becoming part of Huha Records, which also represents renowned artist Juno Kizigenza, France Mpundu has released three standout tracks. Her hit single “Umutima” was co-written by Juno Kizigenza, further showcasing their creative synergy. She also dropped another song, “Nabikoze,” penned by highly regarded songwriter Niyo Bosco. This marks the second time Niyo Bosco has contributed to her musical projects.
During an interview with InyaRwanda, France Mpundu shared insights into her journey with Huha Records, revealing that their collaboration began even before she launched any official projects.
“I can say the agreement started before I released any work. It had been a long time coming,” she revealed.
France also shared her admiration for Juno Kizigenza, noting that prior to their collaboration, she had only seen him as a star on television.
She added, “It wasn’t until we began working together that I met him for the first time. I used to see him on television like any other star; we had not crossed paths before.”
Expressing her impressions of working with Juno, France described him as a down-to-earth, gifted, and vibrant individual. “He is a humble guy, very talented, and full of energy. I have learned a lot from him, especially the importance of committing to something until it reaches a great level,” she explained.
While they collaborate on various projects, France clarified that Juno Kizigenza does not serve as her personal advisor. Instead, their team dynamic stems from being part of the same record label.
“We share a common person who oversees our interests, but personally, he is someone I respect greatly. He offers me advice and supports me where it’s needed,” France stated.
The benefits of joining Huha Records have been fruitful for France Mpundu, as she revealed that the label has significantly contributed to her artistic growth. Fans and industry professionals alike are now beginning to notice her expanding influence in the music scene.
