This Thursday, FIFA revealed its updated rankings for national teams worldwide, released after the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches.
Rwanda's national football team, the Amavubi, suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Nigeria but bounced back with a 1-0 victory against Zimbabwe. Despite these results, they maintained their global ranking at 127th — the same position held before the matches.
While their rank remains unchanged, Rwanda saw a notable rise in points, increasing by 8.03 to reach a total of 1,133.50.
