Speaking to InyaRwanda TV after arriving in Rwanda, Uwimana said he also came to follow up on several songs that some music producers have not yet completed.
“I came home for the holiday, and I also came to follow up with producers who have not completed my songs, so I can put everything in order and start working on others,” he said.
Uwimana said some producers have given him different excuses, including damaged or stolen equipment, but urged them to be honest and responsible, especially those who identify as Christians.
He also revealed that he plans to record some upcoming songs in German, while others will continue to feature African musical styles.
The priest emphasized that music is not his main priority, saying: “I don't put myself under pressure with my music. Being a priest is enough for me; I do it for enjoyment.”
During his stay in Rwanda, he plans to visit his mother, relatives and fellow priests. He also reminded music producers that Christian values should be reflected in every aspect of life. “Christianity should characterize us wherever we are. And lying is not good,” he said.
Uwimana is known for songs including “Nyirigira,” “Loved You” and “Umuriro,” featuring Ama G The Black.
