The much-anticipated "Nyina wa Jambo Assumption Concert - Edition 2" will take place on August 10, 2025, at Camp Kigali, beginning at 5 PM. Egide Tuyishime, Director of Chorale Inyange za Mariya, revealed that this event marks a significant milestone in celebrating the feast day of the Virgin Mary, Mother of God. He emphasized: "It’s the 2nd edition of the Nyina wa Jambo Assumption Concert."
Sharing insightful reflections, he added: "The attendees of our first edition (Edition 1) came away with powerful testimonies about the remarkable blessings the Virgin Mary brings to Rwanda through Chorale Inyange za Mariya." For the upcoming event, he promised attendees an unforgettable experience featuring "beautiful songs, melodious voices, and fresh talent in contemporary religious music. Everything beautiful in the Church."
Chorale Inyange za Mariya has been serving faithfully at the Cathedral of St. Michel within the Archdiocese of Kigali. Established on December 8, 1997, the choir took root in the Kinyange foundational community located in Gitega.
The ensemble is deeply committed to honoring the Virgin Mary under her title of the Immaculate Conception and commemorates this special devotion annually on December 8. With its rich legacy, the choir unites members from diverse age groups, including the vibrancy of elderly men and women, the energy of youths, and the grace of elegant senior members.
The choir also boasts prominent musicians skilled in Church hymns, such as seasoned artists like Jean Marie Vianni Ntabana, Oreste Niyonzima, and others.
Recently, Chorale Inyange za Mariya unveiled a new album featuring stunning vocal compositions, although lacking accompanying visuals. A highlight from this release is the song ‘Inyange za Mariya,’ which perfectly embodies the choir's identity and mission.
This remarkable hymn inaugurates a promising journey of future releases from the choir. The music video for ‘Inyange za Mariya’ was expertly crafted by Bagenzi Bernard, while the audio was skillfully produced by David Pro of Future Records.
