“This song tells the story of the journey we have walked through with God during difficult times. He rescued me, lifted me up, and connected me with influential people. I felt that this was my personal testimony,” he said.
Twishime expressed heartfelt appreciation to Jean Christian Irimbere for granting him permission to collaborate on the song. He explained that the lyrics resonated strongly with both his personal life and ministry, particularly following his recent concert in Rwanda.
He also encouraged listeners not to focus solely on the melody and musical arrangement, but to pay close attention to the message behind the song. According to him, “Waranteturuye” should be received as both a prayer and a testimony—a reminder of God’s goodness, His saving power, and His ability to lift up those who place their trust in Him.
