Emmanuel
Murenzi commonly known as Emmalito, together with renowned actress Mutoni Assia
and their team, has announced the launch of a new international entertainment
initiative aimed at connecting Rwandans and Africans living in the Diaspora,
particularly across the United States, Canada, and other countries worldwide.
The
duo revealed that their inaugural event, titled “Anda Konnect,” will take place
in the state of Maine on May 31, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM local time.
The
event is expected to deliver a unique Silent Disco Experience, an increasingly
popular entertainment concept where attendees enjoy music through wireless
headphones while dancing and socializing. Admission to the event is set at $60
per person.
Speaking
about the initiative, Emmalito explained that the vision behind “Anda Konnect”
was inspired by the need to create a platform that brings together Africans
living abroad, offering opportunities for networking, cultural exchange,
entertainment, and community building.
“In life, ideas become stronger when people collaborate. I joined forces with a skilled big team in entertainment industry including Mutoni Assia, alongside other partners like Dj Pius, Innox Entertainment, and several other contributors.
These events are
intended to become annual experiences that celebrate and connect Africans in
the Diaspora, especially those living in the United States, Canada, Europe and
beyond,” he stated.
According
to the organizers, “Anda Konnect” is not simply an entertainment event, but
rather an international platform designed to unite Africans and friends of
Africa through culture, business, music, and social engagement.
The
initiative will feature a variety of activities including live music
performances, fashion showcases, African cuisine, networking sessions, panel
discussions, and cultural experiences aimed at highlighting the richness and
diversity of African heritage.
The
organizers also emphasized their long-term vision of transforming “Anda
Konnect” into a global platform that strengthens collaboration between Africans
living in the Diaspora and those residing on the African continent,
particularly in areas such as business, arts, and community development.
Plans
are already underway for “Anda Konnect” to be hosted at least twice a year in
different regions including the United States, Canada, Europe, and Africa. Each
edition is expected to incorporate the unique cultural identity of the African
communities in the host country while maintaining the event’s core mission of
uniting people through culture and entertainment.
The first edition of “Anda Konnect” is anticipated to become a memorable gathering for Rwandans and Africans living in the United States, offering an atmosphere of music, cultural celebration, and meaningful connections while laying the foundation for future international events.
