DJ Zebra Queen launched her career in media back in 2017, starting at Flash TV & Radio before advancing to Isibo TV. Currently, she shines at RBA (Rwanda Broadcasting Agency), where she co-hosts the show "Friday Flight."
Her passion for media flourished despite challenges along the way, including working with colleagues who overlooked their professional responsibilities. She shared: “I faced issues such as delayed payments without clear explanations, and even moments of being denied payment.”
Refusing to be held back by these struggles, Zebra Queen shifted gears and delved into professional DJing—a field she fully embraced in 2023. Reflecting on this unexpected path, Zebra Queen revealed that DJing was not part of her original vision, but an opportunity introduced by a coworker. She recounted: “It wasn’t part of my dreams, but as they say—what’s meant to be will find its way. A colleague, already a DJ, saw talent in me that I hadn’t recognized. I thought it was worthwhile, decided to pursue it, and found learning quite easy. Before long, I was thriving as a DJ.”
Her perseverance and talent are paying off as she builds a strong reputation at RBA. DJ Zebra Queen celebrates her accomplishments, including earning awards for her exceptional skills in music mixing. Now, her sights are set on further growth: “I aim to take my craft to a global level—travel to different countries for learning and to represent Rwanda internationally.”
Zebra Queen also nurtures a dream of establishing schools focusing on music mixing, beginning with Rwanda and expanding across Africa. Recognizing the significance of this profession, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge. She also motivates young people to cultivate meaningful friendships, set purposeful goals, work diligently, avoid substance abuse, and embrace spirituality. Born on November 5, 1998, Zebra Queen cherishes the backing she receives from her family while enjoying a fulfilling career that sustains her.
DJ Zebra Queen is recognized as one of Rwanda's top female DJs, inspiring many with her journey.
