Dj Sonia has unveiled an inspiring new YouTube project titled ‘Club Kigali 250,’ aiming to combine music, dance, and cultural values into a refreshing entertainment experience. This initiative focuses on inclusivity and creativity, celebrating local talent through engaging content.
She stated, “I wanted to create something that brings joy to people and highlights the unique, beautiful elements of Rwanda. This platform will also give talented individuals a chance to showcase their abilities.”
With five years of experience in the DJ industry, Dj Sonia reflected on overcoming numerous obstacles that could have discouraged her. Her resilience has fueled her determination to achieve her dreams and uplift others in the creative field.
Dj Sonia emphasized that ‘Club Kigali 250’ is not just another club-oriented venture—it’s an innovative space where fans connect deeply through music, dance, and purposeful activities. “I aim to cultivate a culture of entertainment that inspires creativity and serves a greater purpose,” she added.
“There are people who go to clubs just to socialize or enjoy casual interactions,” Sonia shared. “Through this initiative, we’re capturing those moments in a manner that reflects quality and creativity.”
In addition to engaging adults, Dj Sonia plans to conduct outreach programs in secondary schools, tailoring her events to suit academic schedules. These efforts aim to extend her project's inclusive values to students and religious communities.
Although she created ‘Club Kigali 250,’ Dj Sonia affirmed that the project is intended to benefit others as well. She envisions a collaborative platform where emerging DJs and artists, regardless of gender, can showcase their skills and debut their projects.
“It’s not just about me being in charge,” she explained. “I want other DJs to have chances to demonstrate their talents, opening doors to new opportunities for them and upcoming musicians.”
A significant aspect of ‘Club Kigali 250’ is to promote music from emerging artists, providing them with visibility to a growing audience eager for novel creations.
Dj Sonia noted that while she primarily plays the music of other artists, there are no immediate financial benefits from the project. Her overarching goal remains the support and growth of Rwandan music and the entertainment industry.

"I aspired to create something that excites people while showcasing the essence of club life and its diverse experiences,” stated Dj Sonia.
The YouTube initiative features dancers and participants who embody the lively spirit of ‘Club Kigali 250,’ making each session unique and vibrant.
She added, “This isn’t going to be just my show—I aim to offer opportunities to aspiring DJs, especially those who are new to the industry, by creating a supportive environment.”
Dj Sonia revealed her plans to extend the initiative into secondary schools, presenting entertainment in formats adapted to complement academic commitments.
