As more people continue to look for jobs, many are turning to DJing, leading some to assume that the profession is easy. However, Dj Ceed—who has been in the industry for years and is currently among the most sought-after DJs—insists that the craft is far from simple.
“Many people speak about our profession as if it were very easy, but that is not the case at all. This job is extremely demanding,” he said.
“Imagine listening to over 100,000 songs and then selecting just 10 or 50 to play—while ensuring they flow perfectly together and knowing exactly how to arrange them.”
He added that some people combine DJing with other activities, which creates the impression that anyone can do it, yet many end up making mistakes while performing.
Promoting Rwanda Through DJing
Dj Ceed says he is currently focused on sharpening his mixing skills and working harder than ever, as he believes the profession can help raise Rwanda’s flag on the international stage.
“Everything comes from hard work. Personally, I have a plan to work tirelessly—not only to bring pride to fellow DJs but also to honor the Rwandan flag. Don’t you see the major shows headlined by DJs like DJ Coffee and others? All of that comes from hard work.”
So far this year, Dj Ceed has performed at several major events, demonstrating the effort he is investing in his career. He kicked off the year with a “New Year’s Eve” concert that featured Logan Joe, Fire Man, and fellow DJs including Dj Clara, Huybbie, and Dj NoFace.
After performing at the Urutozi Challenge Final Concert, he also played at “Kigali Shades Night,” which featured Logan Joe and Nillan and took place on February 6, 2026.
On Valentine’s Day, Dj Ceed performed at the “Princess Lover” concert. In addition, he continues to perform at weekly weekday events, including the upcoming “City Girls Wednesday,” where he will share the stage with Joxy Parker and Ella Ling.
With his growing presence and relentless work ethic, Dj Ceed is steadily positioning himself as one of Rwanda’s leading figures in the DJ industry—determined to elevate both the profession and his country’s reputation on the global stage.
