Diamond Platnumz and The Ben Set for Historic Uganda Coffee Marathon Concert

Diamond Platnumz and The Ben headline Uganda's Coffee Marathon Concert on May 24, 2025, showcasing music, marathons, and rural women empowerment.

Diamond Platnumz has been in Uganda for meetings, including discussions with The Ben to collaborate for a landmark concert happening on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Scheduled at Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamaire, this special event will feature stellar performances from renowned artists, including Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, Ray G, Sister Charity, Truth 256, and others.

This marks the second time these artists will share the stage after their October 2023 appearance at the Trace Awards held in Kigali.

The Ben and Diamond Platnumz are also gearing up to release a new duet, rumored to appear on Diamond’s forthcoming album. Their earlier collaboration, "Why," released three years ago, remains a fan favorite.

Recently, buzz erupted online after footage showed The Ben mingling with a woman at a Uganda nightclub—evoking memories of his earlier viral nightlife videos with Emelyne.

The concert is part of the “Coffee Marathon Concert,” an initiative led by Inspire Africa Group under the theme, “Uplift the Rural Woman.” The campaign aims to enhance women’s lives in rural areas through opportunities in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agriculture.

The event will also feature marathon races covering distances of 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km. Routes are meticulously designed to highlight the region’s natural splendor and the importance of coffee farming, including scenic views near Lake Nyabihoko.

The prize pool for the marathon totals a staggering 116 million Ugandan shillings, with 10 million earmarked for the overall winner.

Dorcus Inzikuru, a celebrated international athlete and Commonwealth representative, has been named the official Coffee Marathon ambassador.

According to Inspire Africa Group, this event is part of their long-term strategy to grow Uganda’s coffee export revenues from $1 billion to $5 billion within the next five years. Dr. Nelson Tugume, CEO of Inspire Africa Group, stated: “We will no longer export potential; instead, we’ll export refined expertise.”

Those interested in participating can register via www.coffeemarathonug.com or dial 217413# and proceed with registration. The fee is 30,000 Ugandan shillings, inclusive of a marathon outfit and concert access.

Despite rumors stirred by viral images, The Ben remains focused on delivering an unforgettable performance alongside Diamond Platnumz. The Coffee Marathon Concert is expected to be a historic fusion of music and efforts to advance Uganda’s coffee industry.
