Gospel stars Prosper Nkomezi and Israel Mbonyi unveil a powerful musical collaboration, featured in Nkomezi's upcoming album "Warandamiye," set to inspire fans worldwide!

Gospel music enthusiasts have eagerly awaited a collaboration between Prosper Nkomezi and Israel Mbonyi, two prominent figures in the genre. Their anticipation has finally been rewarded, as Nkomezi disclosed in an interview with InyaRwanda that their joint song is complete and ready for release.

He revealed that the song will feature on his upcoming album titled Warandamiye, which is set to launch soon. Sharing his thoughts, Nkomezi stated, "The song is finished and will be out shortly. It’s part of my album. I chose not to rush its release, as timing is crucial—and the time has finally arrived."

Prosper Nkomezi highlighted the deep bond he shares with Israel Mbonyi, one that transcends music. He described Mbonyi as a mentor and a man of faith, saying, "Mbonyi is like an older brother to me. Whenever I need advice, I turn to him. He’s a true servant of God and highly professional. When I approached him and said, ‘The moment is here,’ he wholeheartedly agreed to collaborate. I’m confident people will cherish this song because it’s created with genuine passion."

On August 4, 2025—soon after Israel Mbonyi’s birthday—photos of the duo were shared publicly, fueling fan speculation and excitement about their musical project. The collaboration continues to spark buzz across social media platforms.

Nkomezi explained that his album Warandamiye reflects his nine-year journey in Gospel music and service to God. He noted that the songs include testimonies from his life, designed to resonate emotionally and spiritually with listeners.

"This is art inspired by my personal story, but its themes are universal. Everyone can see parts of their own experiences within this album. God taught me profound lessons, like how His plans strengthen us even in times of hardship."

Beyond this album, Nkomezi shared plans for a follow-up project in 2026, which will be unveiled alongside a major concert. He added, "Though my focus now is entirely on Warandamiye, another album and an impactful concert are coming next year!"

The announcement of this collaboration has set social media abuzz, with Gospel fans eagerly anticipating the new song, expected to debut before the end of 2025. Sources close to the Warandamiye project remain tight-lipped about the song’s title or lyrics, but early impressions suggest it will be one of the most memorable Gospel tracks of the year, blending artistic mastery, moving testimonies, and a shared Christian vision.

Both Nkomezi and Mbonyi recently captivated audiences at Bosco Nshuti’s renowned Unconditional Love Season 2 concert, held at Camp Kigali on July 13, 2025. The event also featured performances by Gospel artists Bosco Nshuti, Aime Uwimana, and Ben & Chance, underscoring its iconic place in Gospel music.
