The collaboration has already produced its first project, a new song titled “Yesu Alingi Yo” (“Jesus Loves You”), which has been released on various digital music platforms.
Speaking to InyaRwanda, Cubaka revealed that the partnership followed extensive discussions with the management of Eben Ha Ezer. Both parties agreed on a working framework aimed at expanding his music ministry and reaching a wider audience with the Gospel message.
“We held detailed discussions about how we would work together and eventually reached an agreement. We have now released our first project under Eben Ha Ezer, a song called ‘Yesu Alingi Yo,’” he said.
The worship minister expressed his excitement about seeing the song released with high-quality audio and video production, describing it as a significant step forward in his musical journey.
“Yesu Alingi Yo” Carries a Message of God’s Love
The song “Yesu Alingi Yo,” which translates to “Jesus Loves You,” focuses on God’s unconditional love for humanity regardless of people’s circumstances, struggles, or background.
Cubaka, who has spent nearly two decades in gospel music, said the song proclaims the Good News of salvation and redemption through Jesus Christ.
“I sing about the blood of Jesus that heals and restores hearts. I proclaim the precious gift of the Son we have received and share this Good News with everyone. I sing to encourage the discouraged, comfort the hurting, and strengthen those facing life’s battles and trials. I climb the mountains declaring the Good News that God loves you,” he explained.
The singer believes the song’s message will bring hope and encouragement to listeners while reminding them that God’s love never changes.
Building His Own Creative Empire
Beyond his new international partnership, Cubaka continues to expand his footprint in the music industry. He is the founder of UKUU Studio, a recording facility located in Masoro, Kigali, where he produced his entire upcoming album.
As both an artist and producer, Cubaka has taken full control of his creative process, a milestone he considers one of the greatest achievements of his 19-year music career.
“I consider it a miracle from God. It was one of the dreams I had when I first started my musical journey. Today, I can confidently say that nothing is impossible with God,” he said.
He explained that his journey into music production began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he dedicated time to learning and developing production skills that would eventually enable him to create and produce his own music.
New Album “Uliniita” on the Way
Cubaka also announced that he is preparing to release his second studio album titled “Uliniita (You Called Me)”, a 10-track project that reflects his 19-year journey in music and ministry.
According to the artist, the album captures the lessons, experiences, and spiritual growth he has gained throughout his career.
His newly released song “Yesu Alingi Yo” is one of the tracks featured on the album and marks the beginning of his collaboration with Eben Ha Ezer.
He added that more songs from the project will be released gradually in both audio and video formats, giving fans an opportunity to experience the album step by step.
Supporting the Next Generation of Gospel Artists
Cubaka emphasized that UKUU Studio was not established solely for his personal projects. Instead, it was created to support emerging talent and contribute to the growth of Rwanda’s gospel music industry.
He hopes the studio will become a platform where artists can access professional production services that meet international standards and help them reach wider audiences.
Cubaka’s story is a testament to perseverance, continuous learning, and faith. From developing his skills as a musician and producer to launching his own studio and securing an international partnership, he continues to set an example for aspiring artists.
His new partnership with Eben Ha Ezer and the release of “Yesu Alingi Yo” signal another important chapter in his career and further establish him as one of the gospel artists contributing to the growth of Rwandan gospel music both locally and internationally.
