Originating from Mulenge in the Democratic Republic of Congo with Rwandan roots, Chichi and Vovo met in 2015, married in 2020, and officially debuted their gospel music duo in 2023.

In speaking to InyaRwanda, Chichi emphasized their dedication to collaborating with other gospel artists within Rwanda and internationally, aiming to elevate Rwandan gospel music to renowned global heights.
Their newest song, “Mbega Igitaramo!”, serves as a spiritual reminder for believers to reflect on Heaven’s wonders, celebrating the immense treasures God has prepared and envisioning the divine festivities awaiting on God’s Day.
This release is part of their growing repertoire that strengthens their ministry, with previous hits including “Twaremwe,” “Juru we Tegeka,” “Amani,” and many more.
Chichi brings significant experience to the gospel scene in Rwanda. As a key figure in Gisubizo Ministries, he contributed to the creation and popularity of celebrated songs like “Nta Mana na Buzima” and “Uruwera.”
He explained, “My wife and I used to sing with Gisubizo Ministries, headquartered in Kampala City. Additionally, I sang with Gisubizo based in Kigali.” His substantial contributions played a pivotal role in the flourishing of this renowned ensemble.
