On Monday, March 2, 2026, Ben and Chance visited BK Arena, the venue where they will perform, and announced to their fans that this year’s Easter will be marked by an extraordinary celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
While touring the arena — which they fondly referred to as “home” — the couple expressed their excitement, saying that April 5 will be a historic day for Christians as they gather to worship and celebrate in a powerful atmosphere of praise.
A First for BK Arena
Despite having spent 10 years in music, this will be the first time Ben and Chance hold their own concert at BK Arena, following repeated requests from their supporters.
The husband-and-wife duo are widely known for their hit song “Zaburi Yanjye,” which has surpassed six million views, as well as other popular tracks including “Yesu Arakora,” “Amarira,”“Impano y’Ubuzima,” and “Mu Nda y’Ingumba.”
The Easter Jubilee Music Gathering is described as a special day dedicated to celebrating Easter through joyful worship and uplifting gospel music. The artists have encouraged fans to spread the word and invite others to join what they promise will be an unforgettable experience.
In a message shared on Instagram on February 10, 2026 — when they first announced the event — they wrote: “This Easter, something special is happening in Kigali,” signaling the beginning of preparations for the large-scale gathering.
An Annual Easter Vision
Pastor Benjamin Serugo (Ben) explained that the idea of organizing Easter concerts came after renowned gospel artist Patient Bizimana, who had long organized similar events, relocated to the United States and discontinued the initiative. Ben said they felt inspired to carry forward the vision starting this year and plan to make it an annual Easter celebration.
Ben and Chance began singing together as a married couple in 2016, when they released their first song, “Ririmbira Umwami.” At the time, they were also members of Alarm Ministries and had just started pursuing music independently as a couple.
Over the years, they have become role models within Rwanda’s gospel music scene, inspiring other married couples such as James and Daniella, Papi Clever and Dorcas, and René and Tracy to minister together through music. Today, performing as a married gospel duo has become increasingly common in Rwanda.
Ben and Chance are members of CityLight Foursquare Church, led by Bishop Prof. Fidele Masengo, and they continue to serve in ministry alongside their music careers.
Chance has affirmed that they will continue ministering as a couple, saying it is part of the calling and vision God has given their family. Quoting Joshua 24:15 — “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” — she emphasized that their mission is to build God’s kingdom beginning in their own home.
Their first major concert took place on May 20, 2018, at Kigali Serena Hotel, where they launched their debut album “Izina rya Yesu Rirakomeye.” The event featured several well-known gospel artists and marked an important milestone in their journey.
Now, as they celebrate a decade in music, their upcoming Easter concert at BK Arena is expected to be another landmark moment — a powerful gathering of worship, joy, and unity through gospel music.
The duo has promised to share more details about the Easter Jubilee Music Gathering in the coming days, as anticipation continues to grow among their fans.
