Bad Rama Sets Sights on Private Jet as He Pursues Medical Career

Music entrepreneur Bad Rama unveils bold plans to own a private jet, master aviation, and create a multi-purpose establishment, merging innovation with legacy.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, music entrepreneur and visionary Bad Rama shared his inspiring story of rising above adversity. Reflecting on his humble beginnings, he stated, "Because I was born into a tough life, there were many goals and wishes we couldn’t pursue simply because we didn’t know of them. Growing up, I dreamed of flying in a plane, but now I see that’s not enough. My new goal is to own a private jet."

As a renowned music manager who has supported notable artists such as Safi Madiba, Queen Cha, Marina, Jay Polly, Calvin Mbanda, and others, Bad Rama aims higher. He stressed his independence, declaring he won’t rely on others’ jets. Instead, he plans to delve into studying medicine and aviation, enabling him to pilot his plane.

He explained, "I still need to study two things: medicine and aviation. This is because I have plans for a private jet, and no one will take charge of my life while I fly it. After achieving this, I can start my retirement. During this phase, I envision owning a mountain featuring hospitals, a boxing gym, a music studio, schools, and a church."

Bad Rama expressed optimism, resilience, and love for his country, highlighting the significance of creating meaningful projects rather than focusing solely on fame.

Addressing critics of his proficiency in the Kinyarwanda language, Bad Rama responded boldly: "They say I don’t speak Kinyarwanda? Is that bad? I’ve also studied other things, and we’ll meet on the professional market." He emphasized that achievement transcends language barriers.

Owning a private jet: the ultimate financial milestone

The pursuit of owning a private jet signifies a benchmark for financial success, but it comes with immense challenges and investments. Here's a breakdown of potential costs:

  • Light jets: Cost between $3 million and $10 million.
  • Medium-sized jets: Range from $9 million to $20 million.
  • Large or ultra-long-range jets: Prices start at $25 million, exceeding $70 million for premium models like Gulfstream, Bombardier, and Dassault jets.

Additionally, equipping the jet with premium amenities such as onboard dining, sleeping chairs, high-speed internet, and more elevates the price by millions. Refueling costs, depending on the distance, range between $3,000 and $10,000 per flight.

Steps to owning and piloting a private jet:

To own and operate a jet, certain logistical requirements must be met, including:

  • Aircraft registration and certification for safety
  • Rwandan compliance via RCAA (Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority)
  • A Private Pilot License (PPL), involving:
    • Ground school courses: Basic aviation training
    • Medical and aptitude tests: Eye exams and psychological evaluations
    • Training at authorized flight schools
    • Comprehensive investment (in Rwanda or abroad)

Transitioning from fame to impactful ventures, Bad Rama aims to launch projects that inspire and uplift communities. He concluded his post with an intriguing thought, "Should we build on this island or buy another one?"

These ambitious plans reflect a deeply strategic vision that could lead to establishing an aviation company designed to benefit Rwandan artists, investors, and citizens.
