Arsenal Players in Rwanda: Exploring Cultural Heritage and Scenic Wonders

Arsenal players Katie McCabe, Caitlin Foord, and Laia Codina, fresh off their UEFA Champions League win, are touring Rwanda's cultural and scenic landmarks.

The players landed at Kigali International Airport on Tuesday morning. Through its official social media channels, Visit Rwanda warmly welcomed these football stars to the "Land of a Thousand Hills."

Katie McCabe, a central figure for Arsenal Women’s team since 2017, Caitlin Foord, a standout player since 2020, and Laia Codina, who joined in 2023, are representing Arsenal on this exciting tourism trip.

The trio is visiting Rwanda after their successful UEFA Champions League campaign, where they contributed significantly to securing the prestigious trophy for Arsenal.

During their stay, these players are set to explore several iconic locations across Rwanda, including rich cultural heritage sites that depict Rwanda’s vibrant history and traditions. They will also visit breathtaking attractions that showcase the unparalleled natural beauty of Rwanda, famously known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills."

Their arrival coincides with that of football icons from Paris Saint-Germain, Jay-Jay Okocha of Nigeria and French star Didier Domi, who are also enjoying Rwanda for a similar tourism endeavor.

Since May 2018, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) formed a transformative partnership with Arsenal FC of the Premier League. This historic sponsorship includes prominent “Visit Rwanda” branding on the left sleeve of Arsenal’s jerseys for the main team, U23 team, and the women’s team, further solidifying Rwanda's global visibility.
