Universal Music Group, renowned for its expansive influence, has a notable presence across Africa, with a key regional office situated in Nairobi, Kenya. Eloi Mugabe revealed that initial discussions with UMG were facilitated by a member of Ariel Wayz's team based in Kenya, who successfully linked them with UMG’s top management.
He remarked, “The talks began as we worked on her album ‘Here to Stay’. It was an exhaustive process requiring professionalism and due diligence. Agreements of this magnitude demand expertise from seasoned advisers and legal teams.”
Although specific details regarding the contract terms and duration remain undisclosed, the partnership grants UMG authority over Ariel Wayz’s music activities, encompassing collaborations with acclaimed Nigerian music producers and the arrangement of international concerts.
