APR FC, the reigning champions of the Rwanda Premier League, have made impactful signings during the transfer window to enhance their competitiveness both domestically and on the international stage.
The military-affiliated club has strategically recruited skilled players to represent Rwanda with pride and ambition in the 2025/26 football season.
Notable new signings include international players Ugandan Ronald Ssekiganda, Ivorian striker William Togui, and Burkinabe Memel Dao. Among the promising Rwandan recruits are Hadji Iraguha, Hakim Bugingo, Adolphe Hakizimana, Pacifique Iradukunda, Alex Nduwayo, and others.
These new players have undergone intensive training with the team for the past two weeks, receiving commendable feedback from coach Jean Bosco Ruboneka for their performance during practice sessions and friendly matches.
Ruboneka stated: “These new players bring great potential to the squad and will strengthen us in the tournaments ahead. The club worked diligently to bring in top talents, and their impact during practice and friendlies has been remarkable.”
He further emphasized: “Success starts with a strong team, and these signings make us much stronger. As players, we must also give our maximum effort on the pitch. We're ready to deliver exciting performances and delight our fans this coming season.”
Reflecting on the team’s goals, Ruboneka remarked: “To win trophies, you need a solid squad. Last season, although we clinched the League title and Peace Cup, there were matches we shouldn’t have lost. This year, we aim to perform even better and achieve more.”
Under the guidance of coach Taleb Abderrahim, APR FC is intensively preparing for high-profile pre-season friendlies against Tanzanian giants Simba SC and Azam FC, scheduled for mid-August.
