APR FC Secures a Thrilling 2-1 Comeback Win Against Marine FC

APR FC achieved a thrilling 2-1 victory over Marine FC in a game packed with penalties, crucial substitutions, and a late-game comeback.

APR FC opened the match with strong momentum, showcasing their energy and possession dominance. However, Marine FC’s Sultan Bobo Sibomana tested their defense in the 4th minute with a powerful shot, which goalkeeper Ishimwe Pierre deflected into a corner that yielded no goal.

The encounter saw APR FC effectively controlling possession through intricate passing, while Marine FC pressed forward in key moments. One notable attack came when Sultan Bobo Sibomana delivered a dangerous cross, which Usabimana Olivier headed narrowly wide of the target.

Marine FC earned a penalty in the 28th minute, taken by Mbonyumwami Taiba. However, APR FC’s goalkeeper Ishimwe Pierre impressively saved the shot, preventing an early lead. Shortly afterward, APR FC was forced to replace their injured player, Nshimiyimana Yunusu, with Aliou Souane.

As the first half approached its conclusion, Mbonyumwami Taiba redeemed himself in the 45+1 minute, unleashing a long-range rocket into the net, giving Marine FC a 1-0 advantage.

The second half brought tactical adjustments from both teams. Marine FC replaced Mukire Confiance with Ishimwe Kevin, while APR FC swapped out Ronald Ssekiganda for Mamadou Lamine Bah.

Marine FC continued creating chances through players like Usabimana Olivier and Ilunga Ngoy. However, APR FC maintained their resilience by introducing fresh legs, including Djibril Ouattara in the 69th minute. Ouattara quickly assisted Denis Omedi, who slotted in the equalizing goal to level the match at 1-1.

Driven by the equalizer, APR FC ramped up their offensive efforts. In the 90+1 minute, Iraguha Hadji delivered a pinpoint cross that led to a crucial second goal for APR FC. The ball, unfortunately deflected by Marine FC's Ngoy Alvine Ilunga, resulted in an own goal securing APR's dramatic 2-1 victory.
