In recent developments, APR FC has revealed plans for international friendly matches with top teams. These matches aim to bolster their readiness for next season’s tournaments, including the high-stakes CAF Champions League.
The Chairman of APR FC shared updates about reaching out to Tanzanian football giants Azam FC and Simba SC. While awaiting their confirmation, he also mentioned their attempt to schedule a match with South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, which unfortunately could not materialize.
He explained, “We wrote to Azam FC and Simba SC requesting friendly matches. We are waiting for them to confirm the proposed dates, and we will notify them accordingly. We also asked Kaizer Chiefs to play, but even though they showed interest, they are scheduled to participate in a competition in South Africa in early August, making it unfeasible.”
During the briefing, the Chairman highlighted the coach’s strategy for the season, stating that Abderrahim Taleb recommended maintaining a streamlined squad of 26 players. As a result, three players are set to be loaned out. He elaborated, “The coach asked us to work with 26 players; we will announce the list of players to be loaned out no later than tomorrow, Wednesday.”
Although the official names of the loaned players were not disclosed, sources close to the team suggest Dushimimana Olivier ‘Muzungu,’ Tuyisenge Arsene, and Mugiraneza Froduard are likely candidates for loan transfers.

With APR FC eager to finalize plans for these friendlies, fans are anticipating strong performances that will set the tone for their CAF Champions League ambitions.
