APR FC, famed for its iconic black-and-white kit, departed for Tanzania on Sunday morning, taking a flight with 34 squad members, including 21 players.
Some players are absent from the traveling roster as they are currently committed to international duty with their respective national teams.
Representing Rwanda, APR FC will compete in Group B alongside top clubs like KMC from Uganda, Bumamuru FC from Burundi, and Mlandege from Zanzibar. Notably, Mlandege previously clashed with APR FC's military squad during last year’s Mapinduzi Cup, securing a victory in that event.
The tournament kicks off for APR FC on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with their first match against Bumamuru FC from Burundi at Azam Complex. Following this, the team faces Mlandege FC from Zanzibar on Friday, September 5, 2025, at KMC Stadium. The final group-stage game is scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025, against KMC FC from Tanzania, which steps in for NEC FC of Uganda. This match will also take place at KMC Stadium.
The semi-final matches are slated for September 12, 2025, while the grand finale will occur on September 15, 2025, promising an exciting conclusion to the competition.
