The accompanying music video is a visual delight, filmed in picturesque settings with the sisters radiating elegance in white-themed outfits. The production was executed by leading industry talents, with visuals directed by Producer Brilliance and audio crafted by Producer Popiyeeeh.
In just one year of making music, the Gospel duo has released five impactful songs: "Urufatiro," "Rugaba," "Wa Mugabo," "Ihumure," "Uri Yo," and now "Ndahiriwe." Their rise has been remarkable, accumulating 58,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Their most popular track, "Rugaba," has garnered over 672,000 views, followed by "Urufatiro" at 516,000 views. "Uri Yo," their recent release, achieved 447,000 views within two months, showcasing their growing influence.
During an interview with InyaRwanda, Alicia and Germaine shared that "Ndahiriwe" emerged from a dedicated season of prayer. The song draws inspiration from Psalm 105:8, which states: "He remembers His covenant forever, the word He commanded for a thousand generations." The sisters crafted this track to bring comfort and instill hope in listeners.
Exploring the song’s message further, the duo emphasized that it serves as a prayer for those who've experienced God’s goodness. They remarked, "This song is a blend of gratitude and hope. What God has done provides us a cornerstone to build future expectations."
Devoted Christians under the ADEPR (Association of Pentecostal Churches of Rwanda), the sisters attribute their success to their unwavering commitment to God. "We don’t have any magical formula apart from prayer and putting God first," they revealed.
Alicia and Germaine’s growing popularity also brings them closer to their fans, who have expressed a strong interest in multilingual Gospel music. "Our listeners have been encouraging us to produce songs in other languages like Swahili and English, which we’re considering," they noted. Notably, their latest song already integrates English lyrics.
With their music touching hearts, Alicia and Germaine have urged Gospel enthusiasts and the community to support their mission. "We kindly ask for everyone to join us in spreading the Good News through our songs," they said.
The creation of "Ndahiriwe" took place during a vacation period, allowing the sisters ample time to refine their craft. They utilized this period for prayer, assisting their parents with everyday chores, and practicing their vocals. "During holidays, we focus on many aspects of life: family, spirituality, and music development," they shared. Both sisters live in the Rubavu District.
Managed by their father Innocent Ufitimana under ABA Music Label, Alicia and Germaine are steadily realizing their dream of becoming leading voices in the Gospel music industry. "ABA Music is committed to nurturing this vision, which becomes more achievable with each passing day," Ufitimana shared.
On May 24, 2025, Alicia and Germaine celebrated their first major recognition, winning the Best Gospel Artist award at the Rubavu Music Awards & Talent Detection. This milestone reflects their growing impact in Rwanda and Burundi, where they also enjoy significant popularity.
Balancing their personal growth seamlessly, Alicia studies Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rwanda, while Germaine pursues Languages and Literature (LFK).
