AI-Powered ‘Ingazi’ Platform Will Bring People Together, Says Minister Nkulikiyinka

Discover Ingazi, Rwanda's innovative platform connecting youth to education, jobs, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Transforming lives through technology and partnerships.

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, a ceremony at the Kigali Serena Hotel brought together governmental and private sector representatives to discuss the vision and framework of the 'Ingazi Platform.' This ambitious initiative aims to connect Rwanda’s youth with crucial opportunities for career development and socio-economic growth.

The event, named the “Ingazi Stakeholder Engagement Luncheon,” spotlighted efforts to empower young people through skills training, entrepreneurship, and sustainable employment pathways.

Ingazi is a comprehensive digital platform designed to provide vocational training, entrepreneurship opportunities, and job placements. It functions as a collaborative hub, linking various youth initiatives to drive socio-economic advancement and meet the needs of the modern world.

“Ingazi will help everyone understand where they stand and how they can achieve their dreams,” said the Minister of Public Service and Labor, Christine Nkulikiyinka.

In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, Minister Nkulikiyinka outlined the platform’s key offerings, such as career-path guidance and AI-driven job-matching services, ensuring young Rwandans can unlock their full potential.

She explained: “Ingazi is a multi-functional platform. Users gain access to educational resources, skill-enhancement tools, and focused career recommendations. For instance, a student pondering, ‘I wish to become a doctor. What steps do I need to take?’ will find detailed guidance on Ingazi to shape their journey from ambition to achievement.”

She emphasized the platform's unique AI capabilities, highlighting its role in connecting job seekers to recruiters by analyzing user profiles and job market trends.

“For example,” she elaborated, “if a company is hiring, the system will promptly notify qualified users with messages like, ‘Company X is looking for a candidate matching your skills.’ This system will revolutionize how employment opportunities are accessed.”

Minister Nkulikiyinka reiterated the government’s commitment to establishing Ingazi as Rwanda’s go-to platform for acquiring knowledge, applying for jobs, and progressing in careers.

She stated: “We aim to unify access to all information and services. By visiting Ingazi, citizens can seamlessly apply for both government and private sector roles. It's all about integration and accessibility.”

The Government of Rwanda is dedicated to adapting Ingazi to rapid technological shifts, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation.  “We're committed to updating Ingazi continuously, enabling it to deliver practical, cutting-edge, and sustainable solutions,” she assured.

Youth Engagement and Success Stories

Pascaline, an Ingazi ambassador in Gasabo District, shared her firsthand experience. After completing secondary school, she discovered the platform through a school visit by Ingazi representatives, who introduced learners to its free, certificate-earning courses.

“I was thrilled to find Computer Science courses aligning with my university aspirations. Ingazi equipped me with insights to prepare better and refine my skills,” she said, expressing her gratitude.

UNICEF Rwanda’s representative, Ms. Lieke van de Wiel, applauded the platform, highlighting it as a groundbreaking, locally-designed solution that resonates with Rwanda's development framework.

She stated: “Globally, UNICEF has supported initiatives like ‘Global Passport to Earning,’ empowering youth in India and Nigeria. However, Ingazi stands out because it is built collaboratively with local youth and tailored to Rwanda’s vision.”

The luncheon was also a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and planning a unified, efficient system to sustain youth empowerment and national growth.

Attendees agreed that Ingazi represents a transformative milestone in securing equal opportunities for Rwanda's youth, leveraging education and technology to steer the country’s sustainable development.
