During an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, Logan Joe revealed how his newest project paved the way for a collaboration with Fireman. The two artists joined forces to release their first-ever duet, "I Wish I Was You," blending raw emotion into a beautifully crafted song.
Logan Joe recounted, “Fireman found me busy in the studio working on my project. As I stepped out, we crossed paths. I couldn’t hold my excitement and told him, ‘Big brother, this is amazing to see you here,’ since the last encounter we had was at the ‘Icyumba cya Rap’ concert, where we didn’t talk much.”
The young rapper was pleasantly surprised when Fireman expressed his admiration for Logan’s artistry and proposed working together on a song. The collaboration process was seamless; Logan Joe immediately began singing his part while explaining the meaning behind the lyrics, and Fireman enriched the song with his inspiring verses.
“I told Fireman that his voice on my song would be a dream come true,” Logan Joe recollected with excitement. “He responded with, ‘Little brother, I appreciate your talent. All it takes is some time to make it happen.’”
The song "Faya" delivers a strong message centered on love. Logan Joe explained that the song’s creation reflected his deeply personal emotions, echoing the sentiments of individuals who feel a profound sense of gratitude and joy. The emotional core of the track is captured in lines like, “I wish I was you, so I could love you the way you love me.”
Logan Joe is renowned for his distinct voice and remarkable ability to fuse diverse music styles. He first gained recognition in the music scene in 2021, releasing his breakout single "Whatever" in collaboration with Kivumbi King on July 14, 2021.
Many of Logan Joe’s songs have since reached vast audiences, including titles like "Njyewe Utazi," "Kibonumwe," "Ndi Good," "Bitinde," and "300" (featuring OG Kheinz and Ririmba). Notable collaborations also include "Ibitambo" with Kenny K-Shot and Ish Kevin, as well as "Tricky", among others.
Recently, he garnered massive acclaim for his single "Ntiwamvamo", featuring Kenny K-Shot, which has achieved over 1.6 million views on YouTube.
