Police FC traveled to Rubavu on Sunday, July 20, and began its intensive training sessions on the beach on Monday morning. This retreat marks a pivotal preparation phase for the football team as they gear up for the upcoming season. Key activities during this retreat include playing two friendly matches against Marine FC and Rutsiro FC, aimed at sharpening their competitive edge.
Guided by their newly appointed head coach, Ben Moussa, Police FC boasts a refreshed squad of 26 players, including standout new recruits signed during the summer transfer window. Among the new signings are Ndayishimiye Dieudonne ‘Nzotanga’ and Kwitonda Alain ‘Bacca,’ along with Nsengiyumva Samuel, who transferred from Gorilla FC, and Gakwaya Leonard, formerly with Bugesera FC. These additions are expected to strengthen the team’s dynamics significantly.
Moreover, the team has welcomed back Iradukunda Moria from his loan spell at Mukura VS and promoted promising talent Niyigena Abdoul from Interforce. Dedicated efforts also extended to contractual renewals for existing players Nsabimana Eric, Mugisha Didier, Ndizeye Samuel, and Rukundo Onesime, ensuring squad stability for the upcoming challenges.
