Bijoux is a Business Leadership student at African Leadership University (ALU) and serves in the ADEPR Nyarugenge Church, where she actively participates in church choirs. Her dedication, faith, and passion demonstrate how one’s perseverance can redefine Gospel event planning in Rwanda, setting a standard for quality and professionalism.
In a conversation with InyaRwanda, Bijoux shared that she was introduced to Jesus at the age of 12 and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. Her service to God through music has shaped her understanding of project management and instilled a strong sense of discipline and commitment in everything she undertakes.
Performing with various church choirs inspired her to attend multiple Gospel concerts and closely follow the evolution of worship music in Rwanda. One event that particularly impressed her was Israel Mbonyi’s “Icyambu” concert series.
She said: "I’ve always loved the ‘Icyambu’ concerts. Beyond God’s favor, the attention to detail and organization is remarkable. Every aspect of the concert is carefully considered, which is why each show delivers such excellent results."
She analyzed why these concerts are consistently well-attended: "People naturally gravitate toward well-organized, high-quality events. Every time we attend ‘Icyambu,’ there’s excitement and anticipation because we trust the event will be executed to the highest standard."
Setting New Standards
Bijoux believes that while Gospel event planning in Rwanda has improved significantly, there is still room for refinement. She emphasized that professionalism and integrity are the foundations she intends to build upon in her work.
She said: "Events require thorough planning, honesty, and respect for everyone involved—both organizers and participants. When these principles are applied, Gospel events in Rwanda can become models of excellence and reach greater heights."
At the start of 2026, Bijoux officially began her journey in event management with her company, Honor Events. She shared: "I want to invest energy into building a strong foundation for well-organized events. My goal is to leave a lasting legacy and ensure that each concert is seamless, memorable, and impactful."
Honor Events specializes in event planning and hospitality services, including professional management of concerts, weddings, conferences, and other private events. Bijoux emphasizes that her approach is guided by passion, integrity, and a commitment to excellence, addressing a gap in the industry for events executed with honesty and professionalism.
Though Bijoux is also a choir singer, she currently has no plans to release her own music independently. She explained:
"I believe God calls each person according to His plan. If He calls me to perform or record music, I will follow that calling at the appointed time."
She draws inspiration from observing others in her field: "I learn from the successes and mistakes of others. If I see something done well, I adopt it; if I see errors, I learn to avoid them."
Bijoux also highlighted her favorite Gospel artists, including James & Daniella and Pastor Ngonga Christophe, praising the way their songs deeply touch hearts and leave a lasting impression.
