Ganza K. Bertin: How 32 years of living, 19 years of writing and reflection, and 10 years of service gave birth to books

Ganza K. Bertin’s 32-year journey through life’s adversities, resilience, and intentional living has inspired three books: REJOICING, A LETTER FOR THE SOUL, and OVERCOMING.

Ganza K. Bertin’s journey of 32 years of pushing to stay alive and learning to live intentionally, happily, and meaningfully despite life’s adversities has given birth to a book titled REJOICING.

And from 19 years of searching for the meaning and purpose of life, writing, reflecting, and wrestling with the questions that continuously ran through his mind, A LETTER FOR THE SOUL was born.

After 10 years of volunteering, working, serving, connecting people, and helping individuals discover and liberate their potential, OVERCOMING was born.

Written by Ganza K. Bertin, the three books tell one larger story: a life lived through adversity, reflection, and service, and an enduring search for how human beings can live with greater intention, meaning, and impact.

Ganza K. Bertin, known as the Potential Liberator, a Life Engineer, writer and poet, and founder of Afflatus Global, Afflatus Africa, the Ganzian Philosophy of Intentional Living, and the 3,000 Minutes Potential Liberation Journey: From Commitment to Fulfillment.

Through coaching, writing and transformative initiatives, Gamzafocuses on building capacity, liberating human potential, and guiding people towards lives of intention, impact, and legacy.

REJOICING From Self-Healing to Impactful Living is the most personal of the three books. It is a journey from pain to purpose, survival to meaningful living, and self-healing to impactful living.

Growing up amid poverty, family struggles, unanswered questions and a search for belonging, Bertin learned early that circumstances can leave deep wounds. Yet his story is not presented as a celebration of suffering, but as an exploration of what can emerge from it.

This book traces his journey from childhood experiences and family struggles to identity, healing, leadership, service and personal transformation. Its central message is simple but powerful: your beginning does not have to determine your ending.

Ganza reflects on how experiences that once caused pain can, through healing and reflection, become sources of strength and service. REJOICING invites readers to accept their past without becoming prisoners of it, turn their scars into medicine for others, and leave people better than they found them

If REJOICING tells the story of Ganza's journey, A LETTER FOR THE SOUL reveals the questions, reflections and observations that have accompanied that journey. This book is a collection of poems, reflections and life messages exploring love, truth, family, faith, unity, peace, resilience, responsibility and the challenges of everyday life.

It is the product of 19 years of searching for the meaning of life, thinking, writing, and an attempt to put into words what has continuously been running through the writer's mind and soul.

Through poetry and reflection, Ganza encourages readers, particularly young people, to learn from their experiences, overcome adversity, make positive choices, and become sources of hope and inspiration.

This book also reflects on the responsibilities of families and society, calling for greater understanding, forgiveness, guidance and genuine human connection. More than poetry, A LETTER FOR THE SOUL is intended as an invitation to reflect, grow, love, forgive and live with purpose.

While REJOICING emerged from lived experience and A LETTER FOR THE SOUL from years of reflection, OVERCOMING emerged from Ganza's decade of volunteering, working, serving and helping people discover what they are capable of becoming.

This book addresses fear, limiting beliefs, procrastination and the lies people can unconsciously live by. It asks difficult questions such as: Are we truly living intentionally? Are we busy but unfulfilled? Are our dreams being postponed because of fear, distraction or the search for a perfect time?.

At the heart of OVERCOMING is the Ganzian Philosophy of Intentional Living, built around the principle that “Time is life.” The book introduces the idea that meaningful transformation does not necessarily require dramatic changes.

Ganza proposes dedicating just 40 intentional minutes out of the 1,440 minutes available in each day to focused growth, reflection and action. This becomes the foundation of the 3,000 Minutes Potential Liberation Journey: From Commitment to Fulfillment, a structured journey built around consistent, intentional action.

Although the three books have different themes, they are connected by one philosophy: life is not merely something to survive; it is something to consciously shape. REJOICING asks what we can become after surviving adversity.

A LETTER FOR THE SOUL asks what we discover when we spend years questioning, reflecting and searching for meaning. And OVERCOMING asks what happens when reflection becomes intentional action. Together, the books represent three dimensions of Ganza's journey: living, reflecting and serving.

They are also an invitation to readers to heal without remaining trapped in the past, to question what they have accepted without reflection, to confront fear, to reclaim their time and to discover the potential within them. For him, the three books are more than literary works.

They are pieces of a continuing journey—a journey from survival to self-discovery, from self-discovery to service, and from service to purposeful living. And perhaps that is the message connecting all three: our circumstances may influence our lives, but through conscious choices, reflection and intentional action, we can still participate in shaping who we become and what we leave behind.

Ganza K. Bertin has launched three books—drawing from his 32-year journey of pushing to stay alive and learning to live intentionally, happily, and meaningfully despite life’s adversities
