Canal+ And A-Bato Empower Underprivileged Children by Supporting Education and Dreams

Canal+ partners with A-Bato to support 30 disadvantaged children by providing school supplies, tuition fees, and fostering bright futures through education.

In partnership with A-Bato Organization, Canal+ continues its empowering mission of providing education to those in need by supporting 30 disadvantaged children with crucial school supplies and covering their tuition costs for an entire academic year. This initiative aligns with its long-term vision of securing brighter futures for underprivileged youth.

This marks the fifth consecutive year of the program. Canal+ and A-Bato have been dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families by enhancing their well-being and ensuring access to quality education, which serves as a foundation for brighter prospects.

One of the parents of the supported children expressed heartfelt gratitude for the life-changing support. The parent shared how the initiative has enabled their children to attend school and pursue education rather than lingering on the streets due to financial hardships.

During their thank-you speech, the parent emotionally performed a song titled, "Ibi Bintu ni Byiza" ("These Things are Beautiful"), showcasing appreciation for Canal+'s generosity in transforming lives.

Assoumpta Mukeshimana, the Communications Manager at Canal+ and the guest of honor at the event, reinforced the company’s unwavering dedication to child welfare and future empowerment.

She stated, "At Canal+, we are built upon three main pillars: education, women empowerment, and environmental conservation. Under our education initiatives, we support children like these because they represent the future, and one day, they could even join our team at Canal+, contributing to its future successes."

Currently, Canal+ and A-Bato are collaboratively supporting 30 children, out of whom 14 are enrolled in primary school. This effort continues to pave the way for impactful change among young learners.

A-Bato, the partner organization in this initiative, upholds a mission of "Building a child for holistic development while ensuring a better future." Their dedication has been integral to creating lasting change in the community.
