In an Instagram post on Saturday, June 7, 2025, Rwandan artist Yago revealed his highly anticipated album, titled “Yago Life II,” which is set to officially launch on June 13, 2025. Referring to the project as “historic,” Yago emphasized the collective efforts of artists and producers involved. “God is always part of it,” he remarked, hinting at the inspirational essence of the album.
“Yago Life II” boasts an impressive lineup of 16 songs, including: "Amashagaga," "Ibyo Birabera," "Kwa Mama," "Ocean" (featuring Passy Kizito), "Elo," "Nzaririmba Igitangaza," "Habaye Ibitangaza" (with Inyogoye), "Nooma" (collaborating with Double Jay from Burundi), "Kasabanitta," "Shall We Do It Again?," "No Nyash No Problem" (featuring Ykee Benda from Uganda), "Sarambara," "Urakapu," "Padiri N’Umudari," "Sokka" (with Sintex), and "Mumavi" featuring Okkama. Additionally, fans will enjoy "Elo Remix," created alongside Ayma from Uganda.
The album reflects the expertise of 10 celebrated producers, including Logic Hit It, Prince Kiiz, Dany Beats, Knox on the Beat, ISB Pro, Chrisy Neat, Iyzo Pro, Epa Gold, Lion Beat, and Devy Denko & Klein. Each producer brought unique artistry that shaped the album's dynamic soundscapes.
Adding to its significance, the album has been blessed by Mavenge Sudi, an iconic figure in Rwandan music known for his song “Gakoni K’Abakobwa.” The album's design, carefully crafted by Zeo Trap, further enhances its artistic appeal.
This project marks Yago’s second album, following his debut “Suwejo” released in 2023. His first album was officially unveiled on December 23, 2023, at Camp Kigali and featured memorable tracks such as "Suwejo," "Rata," "Si Swing," "Umuhoza," "Yahweh," "Original Kopy," "True Love," "Alright," "Naremeye" (with Bushali), "My Love," "Vis à Vis," "Yago Piano," and "T’en Vas Pas."
For his debut album, Yago collaborated with 13 talented producers, including Element, The Major, Iyzo Pro, Knox on the Beat, Bob Pro, Santana Sauce, Fanta Pro, Prince Kiiz, Pakkage, Chrisy Neat, Nessim, Logic Hit It, and Flyest Music. This strong production backdrop laid the foundation for his flourishing career in music.
Yago recently shared the official list of the 17 tracks included in “Yago Life II.”
The artist expressed his heartfelt dedication of this album to his firstborn child, adding a personal touch to the project.
Among the collaborators is Ykee Benda from Uganda, whose presence adds international flavor to Yago’s album.
Okkama, a graduate of the Nyundo School of Music known for his musical mastery, contributed significantly to Yago’s album.
Sintex, who recently transitioned to gospel music, is among Yago’s featured collaborators, showcasing the diversity in talent assembled for this project.
