In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, Tukowote revealed that he has been in a relationship with the woman for a year and a half.
He confirmed that they plan to tie the knot this year. “What you saw is true. Last year, I announced that I would get married, so the year I was referring to is this one—2026. Now, a year and a half has passed, and we are still deeply in love,” he said.
Tukowote also clarified that while he shared photos of himself putting a ring on her finger, the proposal actually took place on Wednesday, February 3, 2026.
He hinted that more details about his romantic journey with his fiancée will be revealed in the near future.
On the evening of Thursday, February 5, 2026, Tukowote posted online that he was about to “take the final step,” referencing his upcoming marriage.
Tukowote has been active in the Rwandan film industry for 17 years, appearing in over 160 films both locally and internationally. He has earned recognition for his acting and has won multiple awards. Recently, he has gained renewed fame through movies such as Bamenya.
