The official handover event to return stolen vehicles took place at the headquarters of the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), highlighting the strong partnership between Rwanda and South Africa in combating cross-border vehicle crime.
Representing the Rwandan side was Antoine Ngarambe, Head of the INTERPOL Division under RIB. Lt. Col. Brian Butana Mashingo, responsible for vehicle crime investigations in the South African Police, led the delegation from South Africa. Their collaboration through INTERPOL played a pivotal role in recovering and returning these stolen vehicles.
This initiative reflects Rwanda’s commitment to international cooperation in addressing vehicle theft and ensuring justice, setting a benchmark in regional partnerships to combat international crime.
