Rwanda Repatriates Stolen Cars to South Africa in a Key INTERPOL Collaboration

Rwanda and South Africa partner through INTERPOL to repatriate stolen vehicles. Officials of RIB and South African Police lead the handover ceremony.

The official handover event to return stolen vehicles took place at the headquarters of the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), highlighting the strong partnership between Rwanda and South Africa in combating cross-border vehicle crime.

Representing the Rwandan side was Antoine Ngarambe, Head of the INTERPOL Division under RIB. Lt. Col. Brian Butana Mashingo, responsible for vehicle crime investigations in the South African Police, led the delegation from South Africa. Their collaboration through INTERPOL played a pivotal role in recovering and returning these stolen vehicles.
