In an exclusive interview with InyaRwanda, gospel artist Aline Gahongayire revealed details about her new inspirational release, *"Ruhanga Ishitwe."* The song is a heartfelt revival of a popular Ugandan hymn originally performed in the Ankole language.
According to Gahongayire, the idea for this transformative collaboration came from renowned Ugandan artist Bruno K, who suggested creating a worship track that would merge their vocal talents to exalt God.
“Bruno approached me and said that before starting his other projects, which include four gospel songs with Ugandan artists, he wanted us to work together on a worship track. He said, 'Let's first create a song to worship God, and then we can focus on the rest.'” Gahongayire shared.
For Gahongayire, who has consistently intertwined her music with spiritual messages, *"Ruhanga Ishitwe"* represents both a prayerful act and a key to unlocking new opportunities within her career.
“This song is a gateway,” she expressed with hope. “I’ve prayed deeply for this track to open remarkable doors. Personally, I see it as the start of something extraordinary, a way to deliver God’s message to an even wider audience.”
The artist, known for powerful gospel hits, emphasized her mission to expand the influence of her God-given talents to touch and inspire more lives.
“I have prayed for divine intervention to open countless doors. The talents and calling that God entrusted to me, I don’t want them to stop here. I want to grow exponentially and reach more people. Even if I cannot physically be present everywhere, my music, my art, can engage individuals, speaking to them each and every day,” she said passionately.
Beyond this heartfelt collaboration with Bruno K, Gahongayire announced that she is also working on four additional worship songs alongside talented artists from Uganda. These projects further emphasize her dedication to spreading messages of praise and faith through music.
Having risen to prominence with beloved tracks like *"Iyabivuze,” “Ndanyuzwe,”* and *“Nzakomeza,”* Gahongayire now feels driven to intensify her collaborations across the East African region. Her goal is clear: to share God’s profound message with a broader audience.
The worship song *"Ruhanga Ishitwe"* was masterfully crafted, combining soulful, serene vocals with a spirit of renewal and healing. The track has already captured the hearts of gospel music enthusiasts in Rwanda and Uganda.
While reflecting on the song’s creation, Aline Gahongayire shared that she considers *"Ruhanga Ishitwe"* to be a pivotal moment in her artistic evolution. “This song has been an answer to prayer,” she said. “I prayed fervently for God to touch hearts and do His magnificent work.”
Bruno K, recognized for his exceptional vocal artistry, initially proposed the collaboration and suggested incorporating the traditional Ankole language into the worship melody.
In addition to her ongoing collaborations, Gahongayire teased four upcoming gospel songs created in partnership with Ugandan artists, emphasizing her passion for delivering praise-filled music that glorifies God.
As she shared her excitement about the future, Gahongayire said, “I may not be physically present in all places, but my creations allow me to touch lives daily. Through music, I want to inspire, connect, and share God’s love.”
