Iyi ikunze kugaragara ku bantu badakozwa na gato ibikomoka ku matungo (vegetarians) kuko iyi vitamini ntikunze kuboneka mu bimera, Iyi vitamini uyisanga mu nyama y’iroti (imwe ukata ukabona harimo akantu k’umweru kameze nk’akari hagati y’imihore), amagi, amata n’amafi. Ibi kandi ni nabyo bibonekamo poroteyine, hiyongereyeho soya, ibishyimbo n’ibindi binyamisogwe bimwe.
