Ayo majwi arahuzwa n’aya kanama nkemurampaka, ku wa 01 Ukuboza 2018 hatangazwe abahanzi bahataniye ibi bihembo. Ni mu birori bizabera mu Ubumwe Grande Hotel kuva Saa Kumi n'imwe z'umugoroba. Akanama nkemurampaka ndetse n’abandi batoye abahatanira ibihembo bagendeye ku bikorwa abahanzi bakoze guhera kuya 01 Ukwakira 2017 kugera kuya 01 Ukwakira 2018.
Ku ya 01 Ukuboza, 2018 haramenyekana abahanzi bahatanira ibihembo bya Groove Awards.
Mu ijoro ryo ku wa 11 Nzeli 2018 ni bwo abategura irushanwa rya ‘Groove Awards Rwanda 2018’ babwiye itangazamakuru ko bongeyemo ibyiciro bitanu bishya bagendeye ku busabe bw’abantu batandukanye hagamijwe iterambere ry’iki gikorwa gishyigikira umuziki wa Gospel. Banavuze ko gutora kw’abaturage bwakuwemo.
Ni ku nshuro ya Gatandatu ibihembo bya Groove Awards Rwanda bitangwa, byatangijwe mu 2013. Ibyiciro birimo by’abahatana muri iri rushanwa ni: Abanyamakuru, amakorali, abatunganya indirimbo, abahanzi, amatsinda yo kuramya no guhimbaza Imana n’abandi bahuriye kumurimo wo guha ikuzo Imana rurema.
Akanama nkemurampaka kifashishijwe mu guhitamo abahabwa ibihembo muri buri cyiciro ni Nkundimana Noël [Akuriye akanama nkemurampaka, akaba n’Umuyobozi wa Radio Umucyo], Jeanne Mukabacondo [Umugore wa Nyakwigendera Patrick Kanyamibwa], Robert Ngabe Sangano, Issa Noel Kalinijabo ndetse na Nicodem Nzahoyankuye.
Ibirori byo gutangaza abahanzi bahatanira ibihembo bya “Groove Awards Rwanda 2018” bizaba ku wa 01 Ukuboza, 2018. Bizabera Ubumwe Grande Hotel mu mujyi wa Kigali. Imiryango izafungurwa saa kumi zuzuye (16h:00’), igitaramo gitangire saa kumi n’imwe (17h:00’).
